On Friday June 19th I had another unique opportunity to present my views
on family finance and retirement issues. The company I work for hosted "The
Legislative Update" for the De Pere Chamber of Commerce. We met with
Senators, Congressman and Represenatives to get an update on what they have
been working on in our state and in Washington. I had the opportunity to
speak to many people about the poor savings rate and how we need to work
together to help all families become financially fit and retirement ready! I
am pictured with the President of the De Pere Chamber, Cheryl Detrick, and
the representative from Congressman Kagen's office, Gail Garrity-Reed. We
had a great talk and Gail asked me to be on the advisory board that
meets quarterly for Congressman Kagen because of my travels and
many opportunities to speak with people about saving/retirement readiness.
This advisory board is a way that the congressman can hear exactly what
people are concerned about and are saying. What a great surprise and
opportunity to be asked to be a part of this board!
